December Continues

Our Christmas was incredible! Santa Clause (Justin in an AWESOME Santa suit I got a couple years back at Downeast) paid us a visit on Christmas Eve. We all had a turn sitting on his lap, and telling him our Christmas wishes. Justin is the funniest Santa. He's got the HO, HO, HO's down perfect, the glasses make the costume, and the beard fits just right;) I think he gets a little hot in the Santa suit though, cuz soon Santa was sweating beads. I don't know exactly what kicked off the laughing fest, but we all laughed so hard at him. Grandma and Grandpa where in tears! It was just plain fun. Christmas morning Miley got so spoiled by her grandparents with books, toys, and her favorite...a jumper. My parents gave us an awesome new camera, and a fabulous new mirror for our home. Everyday was filled with more delicious homemade food from Grandma, playing with grandpa, fun with the uncles and cousins. From top to bottom, it was just a fabulous Christmas. 26 Year Old Justin...Justin turned 26 on the 27Th of this month. We had a fun day celebrating his birthday together. We started off the day with gifts, then we pampered him at the Supercuts:) after that we hit up the Rack, shopped, and spoiled him, then met up with family for a suprise outing to the Body Worlds exibit. Then we rushed back home to have a fabulous dinner, then cake and ice cream. I hope he felt special. This guy sure deserves it! He works sooo hard to take care of Miley and I. It is not uncommon to find him up bright and early in the morning, and up super late- working every hour. I admire my husband. He is a tremendous example to me, and a terrific leader in our family. Love him! We also had the opportunity to celebrate my mom's 50Th Birthday. We cooked dinner, and tried to make the night special for her with my siblings, aunt, uncle, cousins, and grandparents paying tribute to her. In the end it turned out really nice. It was touching, and special; just how we wanted it to be. My mom said she could die happy after hearing all of us pay tribute to her. That is her funny way of saying she loved it. She called me today and said she has been basking in the glory of her special night. She is an amazing woman. We love her.

4 Month Old Miley

Our baby is 4 months old! Oh, how we love her! Miley is a jabber box. :) She loves to hear herself talk. However, her 'talk' is more like a yell. It's just a whole lot of LOUD oohh's, goo's and ga ga's. She has also turned into such a flirt lately...She will smile at anyone who looks her way. She giggles when you blow on her tummy, and sometimes she will just laugh when I'm laughing. She thinks I'm pretty funny. Bath time is her favorite time. She loves to Splish Splash. She gets her arms and legs going at the same time. It's quite a show! She loves lights, songs, mom, dad, and rattles, but NOTHING can captivate Miley's attention quite like the T.V. she loves, and I mean LOVES to watch sports. I think football is her first love, and basketball is a close second. She especially enjoys watching sports with her Dad. Miley is a really good baby, but there are a few things she does not like... -She does NOT like to get dressed. She could be happy as can be until you put a shirt over her head and start to put her arms through the sleeves. She just screams. -Miley likes sitting up and looking around. If you try to cuddle her like a baby she will stiffen her body like a board and start to fuss. If you sit her back up again it's like nothing ever happened. - She does not like loud noise. She prefers peace and quiet (so she can hear herself 'talk/yell'), and she sleeps best in her crib. It's hard for me to run errands a lot of the time, cuz she won't nap when we are out and about. If we are home, and I can lay her down in her crib she sleeps great. Since the day she was born she has never been a big eater, I sometimes struggle to get more than one ounce in her during the day, but you would not know it because Miley weighs in at 14 lbs these days, and I get a mega work out carrying her around. She is healthy and strong. Our pediatrician recommended Miley go to Physical therapy to correct a slight problem with her head and neck. She has always favored holding her head to one side, and it is creating weak neck muscles on one side, and also making part of the back of her head go flat. Her first appt is tomorrow. If after getting evaluated it is more severe than we thought, we will have a complete evaluation at Primary Children's. We won't be letting anyone "Work" on her little neck until we can have it looked at by many professionals. Wish us luck.

It's the Holiday Season

We have been so busy! Let's catch up. Before we took off to Salt Lake for Thanksgiving we had the best ever suprise visit from Jake and Jamie Bingham! It was so fun to see Spencer, Baylee, and little baby Jaxon. So bummed we did not get a picture with you guys! What was I thinking?! We miss you! Thanks for the visit! Thanksgiving was full of the traditional food, family, and fun. Except I had the flu, so again, no pictures. sorry. If I can get my Uncle to e-mail me a couple pictures they might show up on a later post. Justin and I christmas shopped for most of the weekend, oh how we love Target. Wish there was one in Logan. We had to rush back to Logan a little early so we could clean the First Pres Church, and prepare our talks for Sunday. (So glad that's over with) Sunday afternoon we got out our christmas tree and started decking the halls. It does not seem like we have been all over the place when I try to explain it, but between unpacking, laundry, putting away halloween/fall, and getting out christmas we have been. The result is my spare bedroom looking like this...Can you say PROJECT, much? Maybe I should stop blogging and get to work, eh? It felt like Thanksgiving kind of crept up on us, but I'd say the Holiday's have officially arrived. Things we are looking forward to... -Finishing up Finals! -Forgotten Carols with the Madsen's
