Suprise MTC Visit

Justin and I were not planning to go to Provo when Josh entered the MTC, so we said our last goodbyes to him last Sunday night, but this morning we woke up with a wild idea to drive down, surprise Josh, and see him off. So we jumped out of bed, threw on our clothes, and headed out the door to Salt Lake. We made it just in time to take Josh to Provo and give him a proper farewell. It's was weird to hug him goodbye knowing we won't be seeing him for two years, and then leave through one door while he goes through another. Bitter sweet. But we are so proud of Josh and the choices he has made, and there is nowhere else we would rather have him. it was an honor to be there with him today. We will miss him.

3 Month Old Miley

Miley Celebrated her 3 month old birthday this morning by rolling over a whopping 3 times! Justin and I are so crazy about this little one, and we are having so much fun being her mom and dad. It's fun to watch her grow and learn more about the world around her. Miley smiles, and coos, and is just starting to learn how to giggle and laugh. She likes it when she has help to sit up and stand on her feet. She gets this look on her face that says "LOOK AT ME! I'M SO BIG!" She loves to talk and sing songs, but things get old fast with her- I've got to keep coming up with new material- yesterday she was loving 'wheels on the bus go round and round,' and today that song is lame.:) Jingle Bells is starting to fade out and it's not even Thanksgiving yet. We just love playing with her, and each day we love her more and more. It's amazing how much you love your own children. We have enjoyed having Miley with us for the past 3 months. She is just such a precious part of our lives now, it seems weird to think about the time when she was not with us. She is so special to us, and we are grateful for her everyday.

Madsen Madness

We have been in Salt lake visiting family every weekend so far this month. Last weekend we went down for Josh Madsen's mission farwell. I love ALL of my brother-in-laws, but Josh is, and always has been one of my favorites. He is such a sweet, fun and handsome kid. We are going to miss him so much, but we are so happy he has prepared and been called to serve a mission in Atlanta Georgia. Our weekend was crazy busy. On saturday we met up with our extended family to take family pictures, and then we were up late into the night trying to finish decorating, and getting things ready for Josh's farewell. I was running around with my mother-in-law putting all the finishing touches on things; while Justin and his dad were busy slaving away over a hot stove in the kitchen. I had to snap a picture when I came in the kitchen a found them both in aprons trying to prepare the Sunday roast.Sunday afternoon was filled with family, friends, food, and fun. My in-laws worked hard to make the day special for Josh, and it really turned out so nice. Josh did an excellent job on his talk, and bore a powerful and sincere testimony. I was so grateful to be there to hear it. Later that evening after things had setteled down a bit we just hung around, goofed off, and enjoyed spending time with Josh before he heads out on the mish. Miley's Favorite Missionary This was the last time all six brother's will be together for a few years. We love you Josh! Knock 'em dead!

Miley Moments

After waiting, and waiting, I finally got to meet my new baby cousin Sadie Mae. I love hangin' out with my girlfriends. Rory thinks I taste YUMMY! She likes to lick my head, and sometimes tries to eat me!:) I'm getting better at tummy time. I'm a really goog baby, and take naps everyday. I love my Mommy and Daddy. I just started to recognize my toys, and I like to play with them, and I can sit up all by myself.
