Cornbellys with the Cousins

Grandma Sharron treated the cousins to a fun afternoon at Thanksgiving Point for the Cornbelly's pumpkin patch. I wasn't able to join in on the fun, but Justin took the kids and I heard all about what an amazing place this was! We have never been able to go to cornbelly's in the fall, so we were not sure what it was all about. Apparently, it is the place to be!! :) There are more attractions and activities than can be seen in one day. So much to do for kids to enjoy, and our children had the ultimate blast.
When it was all said and done, they were a bunch of zombies dragging their feet back into the house. They were completely wiped out from all the outdoor fun. I know they lived it up while they were there, and enjoyed every minute being with their cousins.
How kind of Grandma to show everyone such a fun time!

from day to day~

Miley's hair has finally grown past her shoulders, and long enough for us to do a few fun new things with it for school. She loves it when I can pull her hair back in ponies so she doesn't have to deal with annoying hair dryers or hot irons. Everyday she'll tell me, 'I want my hair up please!'

Grey clouds and rain rolled in after many hot summer days reminding me endearingly of the many grey sky days of Nova Scotia, and making my heart so very happy. Who ever thought I would long for the rain after it was gone.

Rolled into the gas station on a busy hustle bustle afternoon to find these two LDS missionaries diligently working to repair this man's car. I was immediately touched by their example of active service. This kind of love and kindness was just what I needed to see happening in the world on this particular day.
Love missionaries. Love, love, love, love, love missionaries.

This is a view of our temporary home. My parents have lived her for 13 years, and have so graciously opened the doors to our family. And, we are feeling the blessings this has so richly provided.
Our children have been so very happy here. I know deep inside how difficult it will be when it is time to leave. The neighbors have become some of Miley and Scotlin's best friends, and the kids are always safe to play outside. So far, we have had a wonderful time.

The morning Miley decided to become a face painter...

And what she chose to spend the last of her birthday money on...
The girl loves herself some Mickey D's! She was honestly in heaven enjoying every morsel of this after school snack~

Having a fun afternoon playing with Max and Mia in the backyard.

The kids needed a quick headshot to send in for the primary program, so I snapped a couple on our way out the door one morning. While reviewing photos some time later, I found these two and was taken back by how simply precious these kids are. Their eyes are so innocent and everything about their countenance is pure. I am so fortunate to be under their influence each day. They make life sweeter and more beautiful. Oh how I love being a mother.

I see Nova Scotia in my rear view.
Keeping the memories close to my heart these days.

My oldest.
Greatest little friend I have.
She's become such a responsible little thing.
An amazing big sister, and a terrific helper.

We ordered her a school t-shirt and she was so excited when it finally came! She threw it on and immediately began cheers for the Brookwood Bears..
"Hey Brookwood! Go Brookwood!"
She's constantly making up dances and performing for us here at home. And the other day she informed me that she wants to be a cheerleader for BYU! She said, "I love BYU!"

She will think up elaborate games, activities and events to play with her friends. Sometimes it takes her weeks to gather all of her decorations and supplies, but she always executes her plan!
She has put on an amazing race in the front yard, complete with prizes and awards.
Her latest and greatest idea was a complete spook ally and halloween light show in the baby's room. She worked long hours to get everything just right, and the finished product was impressively spooky.
She literally digs through the trash to find empty bottles or cardboard to use for her inventions. To her, everything can be used again, and anything can be made a treasure. She is the ultimate recycler!! :)
I am so proud of this creative, fun little girl!

Is it possible that my Dooey is 4????
This kid is growing like a weed! His arms and legs are getting long, and he is taller by the day.
Here, he is at the Pediatrician's office for his 4 year old check up.
The Dr. was impressed with his balance and coordination. He is a natural little athlete, and of course sweet and handsome as always!

Justin took him to the store one night. As they looked around together Scotlin got excited to try on the Halloween Masks.

My favorite part is when he sees the mask and says, "What about this cute, sweet little mask?"
And after putting it on saying, "Do I look sad?"

On a recent walk I took with the children we passed a house decorated for Halloween. On one of the lamp posts hung this mask, and Scotlin remarked again, "Look mom, there is that sweet little sad face..."

Precious Boo Boo getting a good night love from Papa Kerr Kerr.
This kids do not even know how very blessed they are.
