4 Month Old Miley

Our baby is 4 months old! Oh, how we love her! Miley is a jabber box. :) She loves to hear herself talk. However, her 'talk' is more like a yell. It's just a whole lot of LOUD oohh's, goo's and ga ga's. She has also turned into such a flirt lately...She will smile at anyone who looks her way. She giggles when you blow on her tummy, and sometimes she will just laugh when I'm laughing. She thinks I'm pretty funny. Bath time is her favorite time. She loves to Splish Splash. She gets her arms and legs going at the same time. It's quite a show! She loves lights, songs, mom, dad, and rattles, but NOTHING can captivate Miley's attention quite like the T.V. she loves, and I mean LOVES to watch sports. I think football is her first love, and basketball is a close second. She especially enjoys watching sports with her Dad. Miley is a really good baby, but there are a few things she does not like... -She does NOT like to get dressed. She could be happy as can be until you put a shirt over her head and start to put her arms through the sleeves. She just screams. -Miley likes sitting up and looking around. If you try to cuddle her like a baby she will stiffen her body like a board and start to fuss. If you sit her back up again it's like nothing ever happened. - She does not like loud noise. She prefers peace and quiet (so she can hear herself 'talk/yell'), and she sleeps best in her crib. It's hard for me to run errands a lot of the time, cuz she won't nap when we are out and about. If we are home, and I can lay her down in her crib she sleeps great. Since the day she was born she has never been a big eater, I sometimes struggle to get more than one ounce in her during the day, but you would not know it because Miley weighs in at 14 lbs these days, and I get a mega work out carrying her around. She is healthy and strong. Our pediatrician recommended Miley go to Physical therapy to correct a slight problem with her head and neck. She has always favored holding her head to one side, and it is creating weak neck muscles on one side, and also making part of the back of her head go flat. Her first appt is tomorrow. If after getting evaluated it is more severe than we thought, we will have a complete evaluation at Primary Children's. We won't be letting anyone "Work" on her little neck until we can have it looked at by many professionals. Wish us luck.

She just gets cuter and cuter with every post. So fun! Good luck with the physical therapist stuff. We had RJ run through the gamut with that same problem. I hope your results are as easy to handle and fix as ours.
p.s. love the picture of Miley and Justin watching sports.

Oh she is just a doll...sounds like a good baby too! Good luck with the pt--if you need any more help or questions answered about torticollis--let me know!

My twins had that same problem as well as my second son. It's called torticollis. My Dr. has been so laid back about it that I never went to therapy for it. Who would want to make two co-pays every other week? If it was a severe problem I'd worry but it usually works itself out. Do you have one of those bumbo chairs? I bought those because it kept them off the back of their heads so their heads wouldn't get any flatter. Plus I think it made them use their necks more. I don't use mine anymore so you can have one if you want. Just email me at sweetuth@gmail.com. We'll figure out how I can get it to you.

McKinley had torticollis too. We went to a great physical therapist up in Logan as well. She had physical therapy for four months and then ended up getting a helmet for reshaping her head. The physical therapist had her sleep on the other side and we placed rolled up blankets against her so she couldn't roll over onto her comfortable side. Hopefully the physical therapy will help her! We love the bumbo chair as well!

Looks like you guys have been having fun! Merry Christmas!
