Remember this?
He turned it into this...
All of you expert word scramblers out there who got our baby's name right need to go make your family millions on a word scramble game show. Our son will be named Scotlin Prince Madsen. Scotlin after his Grandfather Scott Lynn Madsen, and because we live in Nova Scotia which stands for "New Scotland." His middle name Prince is my maiden name. After I came up with Scotlin's name the thought of it became so strong and powerful I could not deny it was meant to be our son's name. Even now when I see his name in bold letters up on the wall it almost makes me want to cry. I know there is a special little guy who will be joining our family soon.
Let me tell you a little about this nursery.
See that crib? It didn't cost a thing.
See that dresser? $10
Bead board on the walls? It's actually wallpaper.
10 piece bedding set? 18$
Lighthouse a sailboat? borrowed.
Letters? Homemade. (With Love)
Love it.
Love Justin for putting it all together.
We are not quite finished. There are still a few picture frames to fill, and finishing touches to add. But I was too excited over how it was all coming together I just had to post a few pictures.
Here's some more...

WOW!!! SO CUTE!!! I love the room! You guys did a fantastic job! & what a great name! I can't wait to see pics of your little man once he gets here. Hang in there! I hope you are feeling ok.
I love it Jess! Good job Justin! I really am so sad that you are all the way up there though! How are Sadie and Scotlin suppose to meet and become best of friends? Christmas isn't to far away I guess, so we will try to be patient. I hope everything is going good! I will call you tomorrow and hopefully we will actually be able to talk!
What a lovely nursery! It all looks great, I wish I could paint the walls in Karington and Ethan's rooms but we're not allowed to in the lease. Boo!! Love the nautical theme too. His name is so cute, love it!
Jessica I love the name! It is by far one of the coolest names I've heard in a LONG time! I love that you named him after his grandpa and Canada since he'll have dual citizenship! It really is an AWESOME name! I think the nursery looks awesome, you always do such a good job, you are a great decorator! ps I think you could do some fun things with some rope and tying different styles of knots... just an inexpensive thought :) Again two thumbs WAY up!
Super cute nursery! Love the name too!
Great teamwork. It looks darling! And not a decorator? HA! You are too. Look at it all! What a lucky little boy.

LOVE IT! The room is amazing, and the name is so cool (especially the meaning behind it!) You are so clever!!
Oh, I love all of it! The room, the decor...and most of all Scotlin's name! Getting so excited for all of you.
So we were chillin' at Carl's Mom's tonight and I was chatting with her neighbors...our good friends, the Drapers. Their daughter and I are the best of friends...and her younger bro Casey is applying to dental schools. I mentioned Justin just beginning school in Novia Scotia and we connected that they know each other. So hugs from the Bergs and hellos from Casey Draper! luv you, trina

We totally forgot to go up and look at the letters last night!! They are TOO CUTE, I love it, that baby is coming into the world in style!!
Oh what a darling room. I think that the room is just right and a very creative fun name. I am so happy that things are coming along so well!
Oh my, that is adorable! I love the colors and the nautical theme! The bedding set is only $18? Did you buy it then, or make it? I'm still either going to make a bedding set or buy one. But it's still not done for Anna. She just has sheets and whatever blanket is closest right now. That's awesome how little you had to spend and how well it's turning out!
Hey you guys... this room is amazing! I am taking notes on all your ideas... especially the bead board! Oh, and I love the name, I can't believe how soon your little guy will be enjoying his new room!
Not a decorator huh? Could have fooled me. It turned out super cute! I love the nautical theme, so appropriate for Halifax. Sammy's room is my favorite room in our house.
What a cute idea! Looks amazing!
