Searching for answers, guidance, peace, and love in the very best place I know how~

My little man in a Tux Deluxe! I love you my little charming, heart breaking gentleman!

Scotlin and Max... running wild and free on our afternoon walk. Love these two.

My boo boo at the zoo...
Waved her little arm off at all the animals.

I love every minute of you~

You have to know this story...
There is a woman in my parents ward who immediately labeled me as 'scary..' when we first moved in. Of all the things I am, I have never thought scary was one of them! But, for whatever reason this woman was truly afraid of me. Hahaa!!
When I heard this I thought I would pretty much just leave her alone. I didn't feel the need to talk to her about it, and quite frankly, I had about a million other, much more important, things to worry about on my mind.
This particular woman is KNOWN for her abilities to 'observe and serve...' I will often see her in the neighborhood quietly leaving birthday gifts on doorsteps, or making the effort to visit someone she has been thinking about. Well, little did I know, and to my great surprise, she visited me!
Scotlin came running downstairs one Sunday afternoon to tell me there was someone waiting for me at the door. When I came upstairs, I was shocked to see this dear sister standing in our doorway.
She came to give me a thoughtful, homemade gift (pictured below). She wrapped up a piece of bubble paper with a candy bar and labeled it 'stress reducer.'
Without saying much to me at all, it was her presence, as well as her talent to reach out, that struck me to the core. It nearly brought me to tears as I thanked her for this sweet surprise. There is no doubt she observed and served!
She was here to wish me well on our job searching adventure. (Her husband just happens to be a Ped Dentist. Go figure!) I could most certainly feel her empathy and sincerity, and I was deeply touched by this kind and very simple act. Although to her it might have seemed small, to me is was great and powerful! It came a a special time, right when I needed it, and gave me the positive boost I had been craving! She made me feel and know that I am not alone, and that there are others who understand... and get through!
Now, to this day, this neighbor of ours is one of our greatest supporters. Let this be a lesson to us all!! Noticing someone, and having the courage to act out of kindness, can mean the world! Even change lives! So simple, so small, yet so sweet, and purely meaningful. What a gift!

Game night at the Madsen's~~
 Yep.

Zoo Kids~
Scotlin loved looking at the animals, especially the snakes and reptiles! He was happy and content all day! Miley, however, was not so much of a trooper. "All we are doing is walking around and looking at animals!".. she would say. This girl needs hands on activities from here on out!

Family Road Trip!
(We're really doing it Harry!)
My most precious cargo.
Ps... I love my van.

That moment when you come to your camera roll only to find....

Found these treasures while going through an old box. Pretty much made my day everyday for the next month. I love my Arlee!! Loved remembering these fabulous, fun, carefree days! With her as my best friends for more than 10 years, I am the luckiest girl.
