Hi, I know that you are going to think that I am a psycho blog stalker but..I saw your blog address on JoLynne Taylor's Facebook (a friend of your's gave your blog address to her) ANYWAY, please do not think I am weird but I am a dental wife from Utah currently living in Halifax...my husband is just starting his 4th year here. WE LOVE IT! And I read all of your thoughts and concerns and please let me reassure you that everything is going to work out great for you! Let me first tell you that when we made the move out here I was 34 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby (we now have 4) and I was scared to DEATH wondering if we would be able to get on the health care here. I needed to find a new doctor..etc... after talking to a few people we have figured out SO MANY ways to make everything work out. I actually have typed up something to leave for the new comers, ways to make crossing the boarder so much easier. I just need to e-mail you or call you. The ward is really great up here, there are 6 families that will be here when you move that are from Utah. We are family. We just lost 4 families that just graduated and it was so sad! We really have a great support system here and do TONS of fun stuff together all of the time. Holidays, long weekends, beach days...you name it! Most of the families probably will be in Utah this summer when you arrive in Halifax, but we will be here. We're staying all summer so just let us know when you are going to be here and we'll help you move in. My e-mail is beckeybuxton@hotmail.com and our phone # is 902-832-9718. We also have a blog www.buxton5.blogspot.com Send me your e-mail address and I'll send you the info that I have put together. Also, we had one more baby since we've been here, we have two little Canadian kids! I put together a info sheet of how to get their American citizenship as well. They have dual citizenship and always will (according to the U.S. Consulate)! I can't wait to m meet you guys! Please don't think I'm a weirdo!
jessica, have you guys found a place to live? If not I think I can help. Just let me know. When is your due date. Your baby will have dual citizenship when it is born, pretty neat! we are coming home for June and July and will have to get together. I can imagine how you are feeling, but I just want you to know everyone is great up here. Your little Miley is just so sweet!
