We had the most precious Easter Sunday and General Conference Weekend together with our little family of four.
Just and I are so glad we have these two little ones to make holidays and special occassions more memorable and fun.

The kids dressed up in their Easter Best.
Easter Sunday was a party from morning til night.
The Easter Bunny found Miley and Scotlin this year all the way in Nova Scotia.
The kids each got a new toy of their own, and then one new toy to share.
Miley got a water bottle of her own. Scotlin got a new teether toy, and together they got new bath toys.
When the kids went to bed Saturday night mom stayed up to decorate and set the table, fill the eggs, and then lay out the gifts and Easter baskets.
Gifts and surprises started the morning off right. Miley was so excited when she saw the easter eggs. She started squealing, pointing, clapping her hands, and yelling "Yay!"
We had a nice breakfast together, and then after breakfast headed out on a beautiful walk down the the waterfront.
When we got home we let the kids play in the tub with their new toys. Miley decorated the walls, and Scotlin got in some good chew time. As soon as we were all cleaned up we settled in to watch the morning session of conference.
In between the morning and afternoon sessions of conference we headed outside for a little Easter egg hunt. We could not have asked for a more perfectly beautiful, sunny, warm spring afternoon.
Miley caught on really quick, and started gathering eggs as fast as she could.
Once she realized there was candy inside each egg, she was no longer as interested in collecting eggs as she was in shoveling jelly beans into her mouth.

There are about 5 eggs in plain sight she could be going after, but she had to stop and shovel.

The easter egg hunt was a great success. Miley had so much sugar running through her veins afterwards we had to lace up her shoes and send her out onto the deck so she could run around in circles. (Which is what she was doing inside the house while mom and dad were trying to watch conference.) So outside she went.

When evening rolled around we got to have the Easter dinner we had all been waiting for.

We loved Easter. We loved General Conference. We love remembering our Savior, and listening to our church leaders. We love weekends. We love holidays. We love family, and We love each other.

Happy Easter 2010

Looks like you had a wonderful day! Miley's hair looks cute- see you know what you are doing! But in case you are interested for when her hair is longer I have two blogs I like to look at that for hair- the links are on my blog. Your kids are adorable!
I always love checkin in on your blog. You have two of the cutest little ones. Scotlin's smile is to die for. You are a wonderful mother, those are some lucky kids.
Happy Easter!! Sounds like you guys had a great time together as a family. I don't blaim Miley for shovelling in the candy...one of the only days kids can get away with it!

I also LOVE Miley's dress. That thing is so dang cute!!! My favorite picture is definitely the one where she's crouched down eating jelly beans while 5 eggs are just sitting there waiting to be found. Too funny!!!
