Winter Time

It has been yet another frigid winter her in the cold North.
We've had school days cancelled, and church cancelled twice already this month due to winter weather.
Our coldest day this year was -30 C with the wind chill. Justin looked it up, and it was -22 F.
Just when I think it's the coldest I have ever felt... it gets colder.
We're getting good use of our winter gear. It's just a shame the kid's snow clothes are only suited for up to -19 degrees. Hmmm... Who would have thought our snow clothes wouldn't be suitable enough???
I've been coveting a gorgeous Canadian Goose Down Feather Jacket. It seems like everyone here has one, and they just look SO warm!! Mmm... just what I love! :) Well, I came home and looked one up only to realize they are only $800 a piece. Darn my expensive taste getting me again! Of course everyone up here has them... they are made for Arctic weather!!

On a much more interesting note...
The kids have been enjoying their winter classes. Scotlin is a super star in soccer class. He loves to kick the ball, and loves to run fast!
And Miley... Could there be a cuter little girl in class?! She's such a doll. She's always beaming when we come to watch her dance.

Eskimo baby...
THe only way we go out up here. All bundled up.

Cozy snow days with friends. Keeping warm.

Weather it's to shovel, or dig a snow fort, the best part of the snow is bundeling up to head out and play with dad.
Notice any kiddos in this picture??

I'm inside with Loren, and think to myself that Justin has been out shoveling for a really long time. So I look out the window to find that he has built a snow cave with the kids. Just was recently asked to speak at the priesthood session of stake conference on the topic of magnifying your calling as a father. It may be my biased opinion, but I don't think there is anyone better for the job. Weather it is building a snow cave in the backyard, or a fort in the front room, he is constantly giving his time to these kids. We all know that love is spelled T.I.M.E. Justin is an amazing Dad, and most definitely magnifies his calling. I love watching them. I've got some darn lucky kids. Lots of winter fun around here.

Jess, you have the most beautiful family! -22? That sounds terrible haha! I'm glad you are all staying warm. Sweet little Loren all bundled up in her carseat is so adorable. And I'm glad to see Miley and Scotlin enjoying soccer and dance classes.

Did I really read in a previous post that Miley is going to be in Kindergarten next year?! Where did all that time go?!

Love all five of you!

Every single picture of the kids is darling! Scotlin with the soccer ball is so dang cute. And Miley in dance class, she is definitely THE cutest one :)

Justin is definitely the perfect speaker for the subject, I am sure he will do great. Love to all!! xo
