Arlee in Nova Scotia Day 6: Titanic Cemetery, Point Pleasant Park, and Halifax Waterfront

This was very interesting.
Halifax was the closest major port to where the Titanic sank, and many of the recovered bodies were buried here.
It was sad to read about the disaster and see the victims graves. Mostly men and very few children. Most all the graves looked the same. Each had a number which represented what order the bodies were recovered.
So many of the passengers were younger than 30 years old. There was only 4 women and 1 child.
Remember Jack from the movie?
All 209 headstones.
After seeing the historical Cemetery we headed over to Point Pleasant Park. (Which Arlee quickly renamed 'UNpleasant Park.' Apparently it was not her cup of tea, and I got some major teasing for taking everyone there. All in good fun of course.)
We did a little strolling and site seeing, and picture taking.
I had no idea the park was so huge. I will definitely be going back time and time again. It was beautiful, and definitely my cup of tea;)
To finish off the day we took a quick trip down to the Halifax waterfront.
It was getting pretty chilly outside by this time so we weren't there long but we did get to capture a few pics of this man cruising around in a kilt.
On the waterfront there was live entertainment, large ships, sailboats, view of the lighthouses, and artwork galore.
Ar posing with the dolphin. Soaking up every minute because we only have one more day together until she has to fly home.
