Father's Day Weekend 2010.
We need a whole weekend to celebrate our Dad.
Friday we took the kids swimming at the lake near our home.
A wet suit is needed if you want to swim where we live.
We blew bubbles, played frisbee, had a picnic, and ate popsicles.
We love living in walking distance from the lake.

After a day of swimming we were home for a few minutes before some friends called and invited us to go camping for the night.
We rounded up our camping gear and hit the road.
It was still hot when we got to the campground so we let the kids play in the kiddi pool until we had camp set up.
We had a gorgeous campsite sitting right on the lake. Justin whipped up a delicious stir fry dinner for everyone then we hung around the fire and ate smores until the sun went down.
We stayed up late talking and telling stories around the campfire after the kiddos went to sleep. They were such little troopers. There wasn't a lot of sleep that night, but we still had a blast.
Everyone woke up bright eyed and ready to play.
The boys cooked us breakfast, and the kids got busy exploring and swimming.
Happy Campers
Our campground had an onsite playground and swimming pool. Restrooms with running water too. I sure don't mind camping like that! It was perfect. We took a little dip in the pool before we headed out.
Once again we made it home just in the nick of time to unload, unpack, and then load and pack up again to head out to the beach with more friends.
We built a bonfire on the beach, roasted hotdogs and marshmallows, and then played games in the sand. The girls visited, the kids explored, and the guys played bocchi ball, football, and frisbee.

The kids laughed at each other in the back seat the whole way home. Miley was pretending to be the cookie monster. She is pretty great entertainment.
Our weekend couldn't have been better, then Miley ended it with a
"Happy Day, Daddy."
Perfect.

You are not suppose to look that good after camping with two little kids Jessica! You really always look so perfect, I am a little jealous! Anyhow Happy Fathers Day Justin and I love all the pictures! It is so pretty up there and Erin and I really need to do a trip up there to visit! (Maybe one of these years!)
What a fun weekend! I love the pictures of Miley with a popsicle and then with bedhead and Scotlin's happy face! Oh my gosh! I can't believe I've never met your kids. They are adorable.
