"Good Job Airplane. We Made It!"

Yesterday we were high above the clouds from morning till night flying back home to Canada.
Our trip to Utah flew by, and there are many people we wished we could have connected with while we were there but we don't know where the time went. It was gone in a blink of an eye. There was no such thing as spare time, but we had an absolute blast.
I wouldn't say we are excited to be back, but more excited to get back in the swing of things. It's good to be back in our own place, it's just that our own place just so happens to be very far away from our family, and that part is not exactly fun.
The trip home was uneventful compared to our arrival in Utah. In this case, no news in good news. Miley was excited to be on the airplane and kept asking to "see the clouds?" Scotlin had more energy than normal and it felt like he was crawling all over me the entire flight. Passengers kept commenting on how well the kids were traveling. One couple told us after we got off the airplane that he "hopes the kiddos get an ice cream cone tonight because they were SO good!" That was nice to hear. Definitely better than getting daggers thrown our direction.

On the second flight we were lucky enough to have empty seats on each side of us so the kids had a little more room to feel comfortable. Mi's got to sit in her own seat. She kept buckling and unbuckling the seat belt over and over and proudly stating "I'm safe!" with a big smile.

Both times we landed Miley would started saying on her own "Good Job Airplane. We made it!" over and over.

We called home to let our parents know we had arrived. Grandma asked Miley if she made it to Nova Scotia, and Miley replied "yeah, Halifax."

Miley was giddy with excitement to be home. When we got in the house she went from room to room exclaiming "Cute Room!" All of her old toys were new again, and she giggled with sheer glee at the thought of getting in the bathtub and playing with her bathtub toys.

Traveling all day is certainty exhausting, but well worth the time and effort. We are grateful to our families for the stay!
So here we are. We had an amazing time in Utah (and there are still many more updates to make on our time spent there). Now it is time to turn the page and start on the next chapter.
