Soon to be 2

Soon our baby boy will be turning 2 years old.
These 2 years flew by in record time.
I feel like I got to soak up 2 full years with a baby. Even now, we stop our day to ' snuggle' and rock in the rocking chair per his request.
But I know he is ready to be a big boy, and so we are excited for him, and ready to embrace the next phase of his life.

Here is a little peak of what this little guys is like as he nears his second birthday...

He loves Football! Actually, all sports, especially wrestling and climbing.
He loves to catch the ball, hold it up in the air, and with exhilaration say:
" ...And the crowd goes WILD!!"

He's pretty much just a little stud. Just one of his shy glances and your putty in his hands.
He is such a little heartbreaker.

Always climbing something...

He amazes me with the things he can do physically. He has incredible balance, and is super limber.
He is a fast runner, crawler... whatever it is... he is quick, and very high energy.

He loves to do his hair in his down time....
He always seems to find that bed head... and we always seem to find globs of it all over him...

Dooey's personality is so tender and sweet. I could never get mad.
Justin says Scotlin is going to live with us until he is in his 50's.
I say that's okay with me. :)
Dooey is up bright and early, and it seems like we are GOING. ALL. DAY. LONG.
Rarely is there a break. He is always by my side.
And then, at the end of the day when the house is finally quiet - I sneak into his bedroom and listen to him sleep. I find myself missing him even when we haven't been apart very long, and I always have to talk myself out of waking him up to play.

He is so darn fun to play with, tickle, and laugh with. I could do that all day.
Scotlin loves books, apples, and cereal without milk.
He loves having company, but none better than that of his sister, and best friend.
If they are not together he will ask me where she is... "Where sissy?"
When he can't find her I'll hear: " Sissy, where are you? Sissy, where are you...?"
He loves to tease her, wrestle, and tackle her. He does it as if it's his duty as a younger brother.
He loves her so much and there is no one he would rather be with.

I can't describe the love I feel when I look at my Dooey.
He has been a blessing since the moment he came into our lives, and that blessing continues to be realized each passing day.
We love our boy.
