MAY

Miley on her way to dance class.
Scotlin picking out his own `cool clothes.`

Another 4 weeks of this pregnancy have come and gone. I would be lying if I said it was my finest month. It would be true if I said I have been pretty much OUT. OF. IT.
Morning sickness definitely picked up.
It becomes, quickly, very easy to see, how much you normally do when all of the sudden you can`t do it anymore. I don`t think it`s easy, and there were definitely times when I felt just down right guilty, but we made it through. All thanks to my patient husband and sweet kids.
Life there for a minute was a bit random while the family survived mom getting through the yucky days. I think each week that passes gets better and better. So I am very hopeful as we continue to progress. I am so thankful to Justin for carrying my load and his during this time.
Sick or not, however, life continues to roll forth, and we just do our best to keep up! :)

...

Miley is still thrilled as can be over dance class. And it is the sweetest thing to me. I love to watch her beam every time I come in at the end of class to see what she has learned that day. She can hardly contain herself. :) She is SOOO excited to have Grammy Sharron here for her next dance recital!

Sometimes after dinner we will go out for a walk in the evenings. We like to walk down along the waterfront in Bedford where it is so beautiful and peaceful. Along the way is a little fountain and stream that Miley always wants to throw coins in to make a wish... One night we stopped and listened as she threw her money, and made her wish: `I wish,` she said, `that my daddy will never go to school ever again!`

Some of the sweetest moments of this pregnancy have come from having Miley and Scotlin involved and excited about our new addition. It`s been fun to talk about with them, and have them be so aware of all that is happening and changing in our family. One of the sweet moments of this past month was our 2nd visit to the Doctor. The whole family came along this time hoping we could hear the baby`s heart beat for the first time. As that sweet sound came through the monitor, we had the kids come to my side and listen. They both cheered and exclaimed with excitement: `That`s our new baby! Do you hear that... that`s our new baby!` Miley then promptly truns to the Doctor and says: `Do you hear that, `Robinson`... that`s our new baby`s heartbeat!` We all had a good laugh beacuse it was just so sweet!  Sure love this girl of ours!

This little dude man continues to keep us on our toes. Our neighbor Jacalyn watched him one afternoon and came back to report that `He is BUSY!` :) I guess it just never accured to me... But it is true, he is one busy little boy! Scotlin is the champion when it comes to consistently adding to the laundry pile. He can`t eat a meal without getting it all over himself. Even when we enforce bib and apron rules, he manages to get food on his clothes even in places they were covered! He is the magic mess boy! Where ever he goes, messes seem to magically appear. ;)  Sometimes I am left with no choice other than to strip him down to nothing at the table, and baths before bathtime in the kitchen sink just so he can make it up the stairs without a trail behind him.

It`s not uncommon for Dooey to be sporting a black eye or big bruise some where on his body at all times. And if it`s not that, it`s something else. Just the other morning he woke up with his neck swollen 3 times it`s own size. Talk about putting momma on serious alert! We took him to the doctor right away and confirmed that he had either a bug bite or bee sting reaction. I never would have known it... he never cried or complained of any pain. But, that`s just my Scotlin. He has this happy smile on his face when he falls down. He laughs histerically at my face when I get mad. There is just nothing to get this little guy down.

Waking up to him coming into our bed to snuggle is the perfect way to start each morning. Squeezing him in my arms while we read stories each afternoon is the highlight of my day. Battleing him for kisses and hugs is our fun little game that always leaves us smiling, laughing, and then giving real hugs and kisses in the end. Having him end each sentence, question, and phrase with `Momma` melts my heart in 1,000 different ways. He finds Justin in the house just to tell him he`s `the best dad in the world!`  What could be better than our little man!

Someone recently told me I am CRAZY for having kids while my husband is in school...

It is difficult to describe the years of joy they have filled in my heart. I can`t imagine a day without them, and I am grateful everyday that we didn`t put off starting our family. These kids are the best part of these school years, and the best part of my life!

When Miley stands by her daddy`s side and tells him she will hold his hand while the nurse gives him a shot... When Scotlin goes downstairs all by himself to find his sister`s blanket she has been looking for... or when the kids express excitement over the sound of our new baby`s heartbeat, my heart is overcome with joy. They are the best part of this life.
