For me, the true meaning of Christmas is captured the night before, on Christmas Eve. This year was made entirely more special as we were able to gather with family to share in the magic.
Some come dressed in their best, and others come in their full length pajama's.... however they come, the room is filled with love. ;)
Grandma Sharron worked hard to make this night special for our family, and it was truly wonderful.
For weeks in advance, mom and I sewed costumes for the Nativity.
We enjoyed dinner, gifts, stories, laughter and company.
It's always fun dressing up your kids for the nativity no matter the age, right?
3 wise men, or wise guys??...
Little angles~~
How about this perfect little Mary...
Cierra played her role with conviction~ never taking her eyes off of baby jesus, lovingly the entire time. So sweet, adorable and precious... Could even move you to tears.
Totally didn't understand his outfit choice for the evening, but Uncle Trav never needs a reason. Looking good, and staying comfortable goes to a whole new level!!
Scotlin thrilled about his christmas eve gift!! He kept screaming "this is just what I wanted!"
Later that night after everyone had gone home, and kids were in bed, we stayed up preparing for christmas morning. Miley had helped set out a snack for Santa and his reindeer with a note..
We had uncle Bran write back pretending to be Santa Clause, and had fun with that.. Dad stayed up late assembling bikes, and endured all the frustration of putting them together! :)
We are enjoying all that it is and all that it means to be sharing Christmas in our parents home this year. No doubt the morning has in store all that excitement it can bring, and we are all looking forward to it.
Grateful for our second Christmas with 3 little ones to spoil and love.
