16 Months

I`ve got to take a minute and focus on Scotlin. He is changing, rapidly, into a little boy. I kind of love his face. I spend the majority of my day kissing it and not doing much of anything else.
So, here is a little bit about this little dude at 16 months...
Most of Scotlin`s pictures are of him sitting up to eat, or in some kind of chair. I realized it`s because having him strapped into something is the only time to capture this guy. He is always on the move. It`s also a good time for us to capture all the many different faces he likes to pull, because snack time is one of his favorite play times as well...
:)

Scotlin loves to pull funny faces that get a reaction. He likes to goof around with sister, and copy sounds she makes.
He has also recently joined the `cheese face smile club.`It`s so funny to ask him to smile and just watch him throw his head back and grin. ;) He also really loves to play `monkey`s jumping on the bed!`
Scotlin loves books so much! In fact, he has destroyed over half of our collection just from simply using them SO often. He carries his stories with him everywhere he goes. He loves to read to himself, sing or hum his favorite songs and do the actions with his hands. His nursery rhyme book is his favorite. It`s pretty large, but he doesn`t let the size stop him from carrying it around. I love the way he will just plop himself down anywhere to read, or find a book where ever we are in the house, and bring it to my lap for me to read to him.
When we sing he loves to hear Hot Cross Buns, Patty Cake, and Monkey`s swinging in the tree. ( and he is really good at doing the actions with his hands.)
He likes to be held. He LOVES his binki. He`s OBSESSED with dogs, and likes to say `ruff! ruff!` He will follow Miley around and give her hugs, and he gives the world`s best open mouth kisses.

We took him to get his first real haircut and he did a great job! He stayed really calm the whole time which was kind of a shock, and nice change from screaming like he usually does with me. I am sure it helped that the hairdresser had dog figurines on her station. He just kept pointing at them, and begging to hold one.

Scotlin has learned to say Please and Thank you, and whenever he wants more songs, more stories, or more play he will say `Again!`
Hearing his little words is SO CUTE!!

He goes through phases where he wants mom more than dad, or dad more than mom. He wants who he wants when he wants them! He will fight for it too. :)
Believe it or not, Scotlin rarely sleeps through the night. But, I am a sucker and go to him every time he cries. It`s my own fault. (We could blame it on teething... but I am pretty sure it`s just beacuse I baby him.) But, what can I say... he`s my baby.

He loves to dance to music, and will instantly begin twirling around and around if he hears any kind of tune.
He loves to eat waffles and peanut butter sandwhiches. If he sees the peanut butter out he will point to it, and then run over to his chair. He will always let me know when he is hungry by grabbing his bib, and coming to find me. I`ll always laugh when I am upstairs and I`ll hear him at the bottom of the stair whining. I`ll find him at the bottom of the stairs holding him bib. When he sees me he`ll hold it up into the air to show me that`s what he wants. He has a way of getting what he wants with me;)!!

Dooey loves teady bears, and has a favorite he calls `Ted-eee!`
He doesn`t love having company over at our house, he`ll just whine, and cry, and hold onto my legs, but if we go to someone else`s house he is all over, and loves to play!

There is always more to say about our little guy, especially since he is in the stage where everyday is something new. He is adored in our household. No one loves him more than his mommy, daddy, and sister.
We love watching him grow, learn, and communicate. He is our sunshine.

Man if that little man was mine I would just eat him up! There is just something about his face that I can't get enough of.
