The Royal Wedding

Growing up, my celebrity crush wasn't Leonardo Dicaprio, or a member from the Back Street Boys.
My crush was Prince William.
Oh man, it's true. I had a major crush. He was my dream man.
Dreamy... Dreamy... Dreamy....

I have been admittedly, OBSESSED with the Royal Wedding.
I have followed news on Prince William for as long as I can remember, so I took great interest in reading about his courtship, engagement, and marriage to Kate.

The Royal Wedding has been a HUGE, HUGE deal here in Nova Scotia, as I am sure it has been all over the World.
It seems particularly exciting here, because of the major British influence, as well as the fact The Royals are the Celebrities.
The famous movie stars in Hollywood, are idols of America.
In Canada, and specifically Nova Scotia, The Royal Family is what makes top celebrity news.
There are Royal Magazines at the Grocery stores.
Many of our neighbors and friends are from England.
Many, Many, Many migrate from England to Nova Scotia.
Basically, The British influence here is huge, and the Royals are a BIG deal.

So, as a life long lover o Prince William, and as a HUGE fan of Kate Middleton, you can imagine how much I have been loving all the hubbub about the big day. I tuned in with the other 2 BILLION viewers yesterday to watch the Wedding. At 7 am, on the dot, the kids and I were all snuggled in bed together watching the fairy tale unfold.

We watched wedding coverage all day.
I thought the entire thing was incredible in its own way.
I could not help but think of Kate and wonder what must be going through her mind at each magical moment. I watched her dad walking her down the isle, and tried to imagine what that must have been like for him; Knowing one day his daughter would be Queen.

I thought I would write a few things about this day in history, mainly so I can remember this was such a huge part of Nova Scotia. I don't completely understand the whole Royalty thing, but overall there was something powerful about this event that is definitely worth remembering.

After watching the Royal Wedding I don't think William and I are going to work out. :)
It's a good thing I'd already found my Prince.
I married the REAL man of my dreams, and became a Princess anyway.
