Cousin Time

For WEEKS before our trip to Utah, all we heard from Miley was "Can I play with my Cousin's today?" about every other minute of the day... ALL DAY LONG.
If there was anything she was looking forward to, it was playing with her cousins!!
It was SO fun to see how sweet they all were with one another, and how excited Miley was to FINALLY have the chance to play with them!

Miley and Cierra were so adorable together. It was the sweetest thing to watch them run off together holding hands wherever they went.
We just love our little niece Cierra. She is so funny, and sooooo sweet! The two girls were cracking me up one afternoon when they were watching a movie together. Miley asked Cierra if she could come sit by her. Cierra said 'sure' and put her arm around Miley. For the rest of the movie Miley asked repeatedly, "What's happening?" "What's happening?" and Cierra patiently sat there the whole time explaining the completely obvious to Miley, "their riding a horse..." "She's scared of the bad guys..." Etc. Now that is love!! :)
These two were inseparable, especially if Miley had any say in the matter.
Miley has one little girl cousin who is her exact same age. Miley's enthusiasm and excitement to see her cousin Sadie should be bottled up and sold as the most incredible pure energy source. When these two were reunited it was nothing but a big PARTY! It is entertainment at it's finest watching these two adorable little girls bounce after one another squealing and giggling! It just makes us so happy!
We had many play dates with Sadie, and I am left wishing I had more pictures of these two cute little girls together! They were just having so much fun together it was hard to catch them holding still at the same time! If they weren't teasing their uncles, or being chased by them, then they were crawling in and out of the house through the cat door, dancing around, or of course taking important calls on their cell phones!
Miley had a little surprise for her cousin, but as soon as they heard the word 'surprise' they both covered their eyes, and waited. It was so funny, and cute! They shared Best Friend candy necklaces together. They really are so lucky to have each other as best little cousins and friends. I know Miley loved spending time with Sadie, and doing all the same things together.
I love how they'd run around together with Miley calling after Sadie... "Cousin, Sadie!... Cousin, Sadie!"
One day after playing with Sadie, I asked Miley if she had fun with her cousin and she told me "Yes! Cousin Sadie is the Best Girl in the Whole Wide World!!"
My brother Justin was so sweet and accommodating while we were in town. He was always calling us, and inviting us to do things so our kids could be together. If only he knew how much it truly meant to all of us. I don't think I have ever seen Miley happier than when she is playing with Lexi, Cierra, and Isaac.

She has been telling us since we've been home, that cousin Isaac is her very best friend! We could easily see why! Isaac, was always so sweet, patient, and playful with Miley. There was nothing she loved more than being his shadow! ;)

We had so many other opportunities to play together. I didn't do my best with my camera this trip. :( I don't have even one picture of Kenny's kids together. But, I definitely didn't forget them! Brynnlee, Stockton, and Beckham were as sweet as ever. Especially with Miley and Scotlin. Their faces were glowing when they would come up to Scotlin and try to get his attention, we could just tell they had been so excited to see him. They were so sweet and gentle Scotlin, and so fun and helpful when it came to playing with Miley.
Miley had lots of chances to play with her cousin's in Utah. She was able to go to the Zoo for the very first time with her cousin Sadie, and she also had her first experience at the Mayan Restaurant for Brynnlee's Birthday. Miley loved dinner at the Mayan! (Again, one of those moments I wish I had been better with my camera!) She was facinated with the Men in Mayan warrior costumes, and kept calling them Army guys. She loved eating dinner next to waterfalls, cousin's uncles, aunts, and grandparents.
The weather was so nice while we were there too, so she had lots of chances to play with her cousins outside. It really couldn't have been better, and I'd say all her little dreams came true!! :)
Now that we are home, all we get to hear is: "When can I play with my cousin's?" "Are my cousin's going to be there?" "Are we going to my cousin's house?" The only part that isn't any fun is telling her 'no.' Hopefully there will be a next time very, very soon!
