Great Weekend With Dad

We rounded off a great weekend with dad by heading down to go to church with him.

Truth be told, we were so beyond exhausted at this point that we only lasted through one hour. Dad could clearly see we all could use a little rest, so he had no problem switching his callings around so we could get back home and rest up.

 

Dad spoiled us with an amazing stake dinner. It was so wonderful to sit down to the table with him. It has just been too long. I didn`t get to see Nate this time, unfortunately... and Michelle and Rhiannon were out of town for a wedding. But, we sure enjoyed having Dad all to ourselves, and I am sure we did a great job of wearing him out as well!

My brothers are just so sweet and amazing too, and surprised me by coming down to the house, and spending the evening there with us. I can`t even put into words how great it feels to be all together. The moment Justin`s kids arrived, was the last moment I saw my own kids... they all ran off together, and were only seperated at the end of the night when we had to pull them apart kicking and screaming. ;)
Michelle and Rhiannon made it back later that evening, so we got to see them one more time. I miss Sunday afternoons visiting with my family. Sometimes I would just sit back, close my eyes, and take a deep breath... just taking it all in, and letting it warm up my heart. Family is the greatest blessing!
