I know I sound like a broken record in every account of our trip home when I write about all of these fun adventures and our gratitude to be with family. But, it's the truth in every instance! Being with our family was what this trip was all about, and getting to go on these amazing adventures was a spectacular bonus! :-) We were so grateful for both opportunities.
Kerri had the impression to book a cabin up in Heber valley for our family to go and enjoy. When she called to check the dates I could hear her excitement over where we were going to stay. She's so good to bring us together, and once we arrived, it was clear to see why this place was so magical.
We had been anticipating our time here to gather with the Madsen Family... the cabin was truly incredible, and it is no wonder why Kerri knew it would be perfect for our crew.
I couldn't get over the view!
This cabin had levels that didn't end! It's an amazing sight to see when every person in our group has a bed, and there is plenty of room to spare! I've never seen anything quite like it, but it was the perfect set up to accommodate our large family, as well as grant us plenty of opportunities for fun and memories.
The kids explored the minute we got there, finding the top level to be a playroom complete with bunk beds, a tv, and toys! There was room for the guys to play horseshoes, pool, and cards. The kitchen was incredible, and views amazing for the women to visit, relax, and enjoy!
I'm not sure what the kids faces are about in this picture, but I would be willing to put money on it that someone mentioned the word "CANDY...!!"
We stopped into the outlet malls on our way Heber, where Miley found this Princess Crown. She loved it so much it rarely left her head for the rest of the trip... (and hasn't much since we've been home.)
My pics may be a little out of order. But I love every one! Being at the cabin was all about just enjoying being together!! What a treat! We loved playing with the babies, playing games, visiting with each other, enjoying great food and company. The kids loved to play upstairs in the loft, or outside blowing bubbles, or drawing with chalk. Grandparents, aunts, and uncles were all so nice to take them out to hike and explore.
Love this picture of these two sweet sisters!
Loved spending time around these sweet babies!! Can't get enough of their gorgeous faces!! We're all a little obsessed with little Stella Babe around our place... such a cutie pie!!
Grandma and Grandpa have this truck and track set that Scotlin was always going nuts over, and because they are amazing grandparents, they always packed it around where ever they went so Scotlin would always have it to play with. There is nothing cuter than watching your little boy zooming trucks across the floor!! Grandpa Cox was always so sweet to get down with Dooey and see what he was up to. :-) My kids talk about Grandpa Cox a lot now that we are home, and just how much they loved it when he would play with them. Just the other day we were running errands, and out of no where Miley says from the back of the car: " I miss Grandpa Cox."
Sweet little Josie! Look at those beautiful blue eyes!!
Intense card games~
~And cute little cousins
I'm not surprised at all with how well these two got along... They remind me a lot of each other sometimes.
We always knew where the little girls went in the cabin... we just had to listen for the tap of these dress up shoes they swore they would never take off.
Epic Horseshoes...
Grandma was so sweet to offer to watch the kids while we go shopping!! (So Amazing! This never happens in our world!) he also brought lots of play dough fun for the kids and they enjoyed to the last crumble! The girls were all treated to a fun fall craft project as well~ Her goodness is endless!
The guys were able to go out in the evenings to hit a couple buckets of balls, or play a round of golf at the Homestead. Talk about ultimate dream vacation for them!
I know it sounds repetitive, but we'll keep telling the truth... There is nothing like family, being together, and sharing these favorite memories. We are grateful to Scott and Kerri for making it possible for our group to be together, and for all the many ways we are spoiled with time, love, energy and effort. We were grateful Grandma and Grandpa Cox could join us for a day as well, and grateful for the fun had with aunts, uncles, and cousins. It's always sad when these fun times have to come to an end and we have to say goodbye.
