Ages and Stages

The kids wake up WAY earlier than they should, and the rest of the day they are going non stop. I hear those little feet hit the ground running, and know that sound doesn`t stop once its begun. The are busy bodies. Usually constructing something to play with in their own little worlds. They are very best friends, mostly to the point where they are rarely apart.

When Scotlin and I pick up Miley from Preschool they greet each other with a loving embrace as if being apart 3 hours had been far too long.  In my mind they are still my babies, but they suprise me every single day by being so smart with what they say, what they know, and what they can do. I am constantly having to remind myself of just how quickly this time is slipping by. And we are in a constant state of re-adjusting to keep up with their changing worlds and minds.

I can`t believe the days with just these two are numbered. Its been just the two for a long time. I am excited to see how this new addition affects our family, and even more thrilled to see these two bugs in a run turn into three.
