Easter Bunny Surprises

I love Easter. It`s one of my favorite Holidays. This year the kids were a bit older and able to understand and get excited. They made all the reasons to celebrate even more fun! Miley was giddy with excitement when we told her the Easter Bunny was coming to bring her surprises!
She is not the only one who was surprised!... There are some tricky Bunnies out there! The night before the Easter Bunny was suppossed to come, I came to bed to find a few eggs set out early. It was one of those simple moments when ou just stop and think... Awwww....;) How cute!;) It definitely made me feel special.:) Especially when I saw what was inside...

Just had written a sweet message to me and placed the papers inside the eggs. Clever guy! He`s still has the most creative, sweet, and thoughtful surprises.
I layed out the kids baskets right after they went to bed for the night. I could hardly wait for them to wake up in the morning to find the Easter Bunny had come!:) I had been hiding all of their treasures for over a month. We did all the Easter basket shopping at the dollar store a while back. The kids were with us, and we let them pick out what they wanted most. They both chose gardening tools, and watering cans. Miley also chose a jump rope, and Scotlin picked out a stuffed dog. (Have I ever mentioned how amazing the dollar store is up here... honestly, it is impressive! It makes holidays easy too!)

In the morning Miley asked us first thing if the Easter Bunny had come. She ran to tell Scotlin and they both got so excited.
The kids hurried down the stairs and found a mini treasure hunt that would lead them to their baskets.
They caught on as fast as can be, and were gathering eggs like old pro`s. They were thrilled over their eggs, and the candy inside most of all!
Their faces lit up when they saw their baskets. Miley softly touched the ribbon with a look of amazement on her face. She was so delighted. Still nothing matched the love for the candy. We had to pause the party so they could keep on shoveling the jelly beans into their mouths.
Scotlin just needed a little help getting his basket open, but once he set his sight on that stuffed dog, he knew exactly what he was after. He was trying his best to express how pleased he was over his new toys through a mouth full of candy and slobber.
My little princess has the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. I am just yet to capture it. She certainly never fails to animate a picture. We always know when Mi Mi is happy. I found Tangled at costco for less than I could find it anywhere else, and I just couldn`t resist getting it for Miley. It was the first and only movie she has ever seen, and is definitely her favorite. I think we have already watched it 4 times. She was so happy.
Uh- Oh! Dropped a Jelly Bean! Can`t live without it!...
Hunting for the easter egg treasures continued all weekend.
Miley was the champion in every round. We will have to work on actually putting the eggs in the basket for next year. She couldn`t be bothered by that step this go round.
We tried to get a few pictures together. Scotlin was definitely NOT in the mood. Miley was hammin` it up for us though, and we were having a good laugh.
We had a terrific weekend! Easter was special this year, for me, for many reasons. The meaning of the Glorious Easter Morning has taken on a whole new light in my life. I am grateful to have a deeper knowledge, understanding, and stronger testimony of that this year.
Happy Easter 2011

How fun! I love the picture of Miley holding the eggs under her chin. The Easter Bunny also brought Sadie Tangled, the girls will have to watch it together when you come!!
