Wherever we have gone, we have always been planted by amazing neighbors.
Al and Alison live across the street from my parents, and I have felt so blessed by them this past year.
They have embraced our children. Loving them as if they were their own grandchildren.
Al will take Scotlin by the hand at church and help him get to primary.
Alison will fill up the water guns for the kids day or night, and then of course there is the endless supply of treats they buy and store for the kids to have anytime they'd like.
Al was assigned to be our home teacher, and I have never seen a man take the calling more to heart.
His lessons were always geared toward the children, and it would be the exception if he ever showed up without a gift.
These neighbors have been extremely generous with their time and talents, and we are indebted with gratitude.
Just before Easter, Al and Alison invited Miley and Scotlin over to dip easter eggs with them... a tradition they held while raising their own children. You know my kids.. this was right up their alley!
They enjoyed a fun filled night coloring and decorating the easter eggs, and we sent home with baggies full of treasures.
We are forever grateful for the kindness of those near to us.
I hope to be as good as them someday.
