Miley has been extremely sick since we got home from our trip. Poor little girl. Being away from her side has not been an option for me, so I haven't left the house since we got home from Utah three days ago. It's taken me longer to get the bags unpacked and the house back in order while I look after this sick little girl, but the benefit has been extra down time by her bedside, which equals ample time to go through these pictures! ;)
It has been such a delight to look back through our trip and remember all the precious moments we have had.
Like this day for instance...
Miley was invited to go to a day of Sadie's kids camp with her.
Seeing these two together is just about the most adorable scene in the world.
It was a very fun little reunion for them, and so fun for us to watch. :)
A few girls in the neighborhood put together this little kids camp, and I have to say I was very impressed. I think the kids had a great time ~ they came home with evidence of lots of fun!
I loved the way Sadie looked after Miley and always wanted to be together. Miley came home saying things like. "Sadie is wonderful." and "Sadie is the funnest girl in the world!" :)
What could be better than all this fun time with one of your favorite girl cousins?!
Later in the evening we were so graciously invited to Jason and Heidi's home for supper. I had asked Heidi the week before we came if she would be willing to fix my hair for me. She kindly fit me into her busy schedule. Not only was a treated with her beauty expertise, but she also hosted our whole family for dinner and swimming that night. I felt like one very lucky girl to be in her beauty seat. And was thrilled to have one on one time to visit and enjoy her company.
This was our first time out to their house since it was built, and it was simply beautiful! Miley was delighted by all of Sadie's toys, and I think Sadie was equally as excited to show and share. The girls were adorable together playing upstairs, and dressing up together.
Dooey even got in on the action. I am not sure that he had a choice in the matter, but he didn't seem to mind. He's pretty used to being the prince at our house too. :)
Cute and sweet little baby Jo Jo. I am sure she didn't know quite what to think about this wild crowd!
After dinner the kids loaded up and got to go to the gorgeous reservoir with uncles and grandparents.
Give them sand and water and they are in heaven.
Can you even believe the beauty of this scenery?! Look at those mountains in the background.
Made for a perfect night out for the whole group.
After the reservoir they headed over to the clubhouse so they could take a dip in the hot tub. When they returned home the kids were able to take a bath and play even longer. We weren't quite finished with my hair (I am sure Heidi had no clue how much hair I really have!) and so we told the kids they could have a "late over." Their faces sparked immediately and lit up with excitement... "A late over!!!!" They exclaimed! :) They were extremely good for the late hour it was when we left the house. It was worth every minute for beauty and fun memories combined in one. A combo that can't be beat. ;) !!
I can't thank you enough for your services this night Heidi! So grateful for you!

So sad we missed this fun day with all of you - but it looks like you all had such a blast! I'm so sorry poor Miley has been so sick :( I hope she was able to celebrate her birthday feeling great! Give her a love for me!
Missing you!
xoxo
So fun to look at pics from your trip home! So glad you got to spend some time with your beautiful family!
My mom keeps telling me I should write you since I've been so overwhelmed with moving away to law school and the thought of student loans, having a baby away from home, etc.. are all things you've experienced! You are a huge example to me and it's nice to look how far you and Justin have come and your experiences in Nova Scotia, and hope I can do it too! Love you!
This is the sweetest post, I just may have to steal some pictures from you! My heart is broken that Sadie and Miley can't be closer together more often, we miss her deaply!! The other day Sadie was setting up camp in her room, when I asked her what she was doing she said "This is my house, I live in Canda!" Obviosly she sincerely misses Miley!
Oh AND we loved having you here in our home, it was such a fun night for me! Definitely OUR pleasure! The kids really were wonderful for being up so late. Only wish it could happen more often :)
