Baby Birthday princesses get marshmallows for breakfast~
On Loren's birthday we hosted a small gathering in honor of her. Our family and Grandparents were invited. We offered treats, opened gifts, and enjoyed the special company. We spoke of where we were one year ago, bringing this beautiful soul into the world, and how much she has touched our lives for good.
It's interesting how this tiny little person, in such a small time,
could extend such peace and teach such joy.
She brought with her the gift and ability to heal a broken heart, and sooth a tired soul.
As if we have been in the presence of an angel everyday this past year.
Loren, we were led to you through faith and trust in our Father in Heaven, and He blessed us beyond measure to welcome you as our beloved daughter. You are more than we could have ever hoped for. We love you.
She was excited about her gifts... including that darn cat! :) She loves baby dolls, music, and cats of course! After singing 'happy birthday' she took a finger lick of her cake, and then dived right in! No hesitation in the slightest. She took over the cake job just like a pro, and had us all roaring in laughter.
At one year~
You are walking, and it didn't take you long.
You have caught on to talking quickly, and there aren't many words you won't try to imitate.
Your first word was 'Cat!' surprise! :) ~
You can say everything from 'shoes' to 'night night.'
My favorites are when you 'meow, meow, meow' around the house, and answer 'YEAH!' or 'WHOA!' with enthusiasm.
You give kisses, follow directions and wave goodbye when you leave the room. You love to play outside and keep entertained by your brother and sister who adore you to the moon.
