Thanksgiving~

This was our first Thanksgiving home in 4 years, we looked forward to being here with family with all our hearts. The warmth and goodness of the day ushered in the holiday season with a warm welcome.
Our hearts were full~
It was a pleasure gathering with our loved ones. Grandma and Grandpa worked hard to make this day special for our family, and it was in every way.

We love being around and playing with our little nieces, with Miley and Scotlin being amongst the oldest of the group they get to adore and love all over the new babies! ~ And it's always so heart warming to watch!

Loving on brand new baby Lucy~~

Kissy Kissy, I love you!

We got home late that night, but Justin and I decided we wanted to try our hands at black friday shopping for the first time. We left our sleeping kids with grandma and grandpa and headed out into the night. Usually we are not up for this sort of thing, but I think that is why it made it so fun this time--because it's something we never do!
We ended up actually having a blast being together, and it turned in to a fun and adventurous date night! So much fun in fact, we didn't return home until 3am~ But, all our christmas shopping was finished in one fell swoop which made the lack of sleep worth it! Not to mention the great deals...

A quick funny story:
We stored all the gifts in the garage, including a stuffed animal cat we had purchased for Loren's first birthday. My mom and Kerry didn't know we had left the things in the garage, and every time they were out there all they could hear was the obnoxious 'MEOW' and 'PURRR' of the stuffed animal. Apparently, they have had a problem with the neighbor's cat getting into the garage or house in the past... So, they thought the real cat had returned and went searching for it. Let's just say Justin is pretty great at hiding gifts because Mom and Kerr hunted the phantom cat for a good long time until they realized it was a toy.... hahhaaa...! Kerry was about to get his gun. ;)

We paid for our late night out for the next couple days, but I smile as I look back on it. Our day with family couldn't have been more enjoyable, and being up all night with Just was the cherry on top.
So much to be thankful for.
