Halloween this year was full of festivities.
The kids picked out their own costumes, and were thrilled the big day had finally come.
Miley was princess Ariel this year, and Scotlin picked out the perfect Spider-muscleman costume. Baby Loren was the little mermaid as well, I can't resist matching sisters!
Grandma and Grandpa hosted a special halloween party for the family. We were able to gather together for a delicious soup dinner, cousin dancing, pumpkin carving and crafts. A night complete with all the trimmings, and all the fun.
Of course no Halloween would be complete without the help of a ward trunk or treat.
The kids enjoyed face painting, crafts, and of course more treats! Their favorite was a spook alley put on by the youth... I went through with them and thought for sure we were provoking nightmares, but both kids did great and were very brave! Not only were they not afraid, they made spook alley's in the family bathroom for weeks to come!
Imitation if flattery.. :)
We were first timers to the elementary school parade, but it was all that Miley hoped it would be. I love any excuse to be at the school along side her, so I loved it too. Mi was lucky enough to have two of her grandma's drive up to watch her parade the halls. She shined like a true star. :) Nothing like a princess dress to make a girl feel special.
Scotlin was allowed to wear his costume all day too, so he was able to join in on the fun as well.
Miley had a party at school that day and loved every minute.
By night fall the kids were running on their sugar fumes to get by. We drove down to South Jordan to trick or treat in Grandma's neighborhood, where the kids knocked down doors like old pros.
I love halloween, and love seeing the kids so happy, but something about this year made me miss the good old Halifax days~ Hosting in our home, and trick or treating the loop of spook alley's behind our home with all out little monsters. Always so much fun.
This halloween was a fantastic event, and we were glad to share it with so many of our relatives. The kids came in to make themselves cozy before the crash at the end of the night. Another great year for the books. And happiness all around. ~~

#3 Miley looks SOOOOO grown up. I kind of hate that I am missing it.
#4 Scotlin is my boyfriend.
Too bad you guys aren't moving to Maine. Justin could wear his Halloween costume all year long and fit right in. Seriously. :)
