Saying Goodbye :(

I feel like my kids have the best grandparents in the world.
How beautiful is Kerri? Seriously, the woman is gorgeous inside and out.
I hope to follow her example, and be the grandma who is playing with the kids on the playground.

Before their flight, we took a minute to head down to the playground and make this trip good to the very last drop. As parents, and grandparents, our greatest joy is found in watching our children happy, healthy, and full of joy.

{I love it when they play slide train.}

Scott remains one of the finest men I know.
We are honored to have a son who gets to carry his name.

Having to say goodbye to our family just hurts. We miss and love them so much, and had such an amazing week together full of so many priceless blessings.

We said our goodbyes and then Justin drove them to the airport so they could start their long journey home. I stayed home, and laid down with Miley for a nap. As we laid there together it occurred to Miley for the first time that grandma and grandpa had gone and really weren't coming back. I could see her heart breaking and she immediately started to sob. I tried so hard to be strong for her, and hold back my tears, but ultimately I snuggled her and we wept together.
Sometimes it is so hard to be away from them. Being together, and being able to share in these journey's and adventures are a tender, tender blessing.

These are memories we will cherish for our lifetime.
Thank you will never be enough to express the gratitude we feel for this visit, and love constant outpouring of love and support.
